We're back from sunny Anaheim and boy do we have tons to share!! As you know, 5 of us went down to "the big show" (Karyn, Judy, Alisa, Lorelei, and Stacy), to explore, shop, learn, and play. Boy, did we do a LOT of all!!
Explore: We enjoyed every minute we had to check out new products and vendors. While we love the standards, it's always nice to go beyond the big ones and see what the smaller and up-and-coming vendors have to offer. It was also nice to see how many companies pushed 'green' products.
Shop: What can I say? I have a shopping problem!! (I'm pretty sure they wrote Confessions of a Shopaholic about me!) The items we have ordered to date are far too many to list here, rest assured, you'll be thrilled with what KPS has in store for you! In addition to new items, we are expanding areas of the store with products and techniques that will blow your mind!! Hint: Lorelei's new bff is Tim Holtz and Alisa's new bffs are Sally and Josie, designers with Prima. KPS is not your typical scrapbook store!!
Learn: Between the 5 of us, we took classes on several mediums, techniques, projects, products, etc. We also spent time doing make & takes and watching demos from the best, just so we can bring it home to YOU!! I won't lie, learning from the likes of Tim Holtz rocked...watch for photos of Lorelei & Alisa starstruck!
Play: What do you expect when 5 friends get to spend 4 whole days doing what they love most? Add to that, a FUN roadtrip (after we got the hang of all having to take potty breaks at the same time, it made pit stops few and far between). Judy had her first taste of In & Out and Alisa finally 'got' what it was all about!! Stacy never threatened to 'turn the car around', and the dancing bear got a work out (we had to dance in our seats when he started singing "I Feel Good"). We became shareholders of Starbucks; had an incredible meal at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (thanks Johnny B), a long wait but lots of laughs at Joe's Crab Shack (thanks Sy). We learned lots about each other, NONE OF IT will I share here!!!
Last, but not least, Alisa ("Little Bit"), made us pinky promise we'd take her to Disneyland, so our finaly evening was spent riding roller coasters, much to my mom's chagrin. Oh, and Alisa, we haven't forgotten our wake up call...
HUGE thank you to Katie and Ali for holding down the fort; to Jack for checking in on them, and Sue for helping Katie.
Thanks to YOU for making it all possible!!!
